Soya Tikka : Walking in the by lanes of Bangalore church street, I found a cart serving snacks.Out of curiosity,I tried the soya tikka and it was amazing. I had a chit chat with the person and he happily gave the ingredients to prepare Soya tikka. This vegetarian dish tastes better than any of the non vegetarian recipes. Here is a tasty soybean recipe.
In a pan add soya chunks. Add enough water to cover an inch or 2 above it.
Boil the soya chunks for around 7 to 10 minutes till it is soft and cooked properly.
Once cooked, Drain out all the water from the soya chunks using a strainer and keep it aside.
Marinate and Fry the Soya Nuggets
In a clean bowl, add half teaspoon red chilly powder, maida, garlic paste, ginger paste, salt and water. Mix all the ingredients properly to form a dry paste.
Now add the soya nuggets in to the bowl and mix it well so that it the soya chunks are fully covered with marinade.
Keep this aside for around 20 minutes
Now in a thick bottomed pan add enough oil and heat it.
Fry the marinated soya nuggets in the oil in a medium flame till it is brownish red in color.
Keep it aside.
Preparation of Gravy
In a nonstick pan or a normal thick bottomed pan, add two teaspoon of oil and heat.
Add sliced onions and capsicum in to it and saute till it is light brown in color.
Add half teaspoon chili powder, Coriander powder, salt, soya sauce, vinegar and tomato sauce in to it and mix properly
Final Mix and Garnish
Now add the previously prepared soya nuggets in to it and mix properly
