Ingredients for preparing Pork and Bamboo shoot in Chinese style recipe
Lean pork : 900 Gms
Soya sauce : 3 tablespoons (3and 3/4 Tablespoon to be precise which I used)
Sherry : 1 tablespoon (1 and 1/4th to be precise which I used)
Brown Sugar : 1 teaspoon
Ground ginger : 1 teaspoon
Water : 5 Cups
Bamboo shoots : 125 Gms.
Directions to prepare Pork and Bamboo shoot in Chinese style recipe
Cut the pork into small pieces. Mix the soya sauce, sherry, Sugar and ginger together, add to the pork, mix well and leave for 10 minutes. Put the pork and flavourings into a large pan, add the water and boil it gently, cover and cook it in sim for 1 hour. Drain the bamboo shoots and shred finely, add to the pan and cook it in sim for another 10 minutes.Serve very hot.
The liquid can be thickened slightly with 1 tablespoon
(1and 1/4 Tablespoon ) cornflour (cornstarch) mixed to a smooth paste with a little cold water, if liked.
