Serving size of Mirapakaya Bajji : two to three per person
Ingredients required to prepare Mirapakaya Bajji :
Plump and long green chilies – 4
Chickpea flour – ½ cup
Carom seeds – ½ tbsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Water – required to mix the flour
Salt – required amount
Oil – required for deep frying
Directions to prepare Mirapakaya bajji :
To prepare mouth watering Mirapakaya bajji, we need to first wash the plump grenn chilies and slit them vertically and remove the seeds.
Then take a bowl and add chickpea flour, carom seeds, required amount of salt and ¼ tbsp of turmeric powder and mix them properly.
Then take some water and pour little by little into the mixed flour and mix again to make it into semisolid paste.
Now, take wide mouthed vessel with heavy bottom and pour oil into it for deep frying. Let the oil heat.
Once the oil is hot, dip the vertically slit green chilies into the flour mix and then add them to the hot oil. Fry them until they turn into golden brown color.
Then remove them from the oil with a holed ladle and transfer them to a plate with tissue paper. The tissue paper will absorb the extra oil.
Then transfer them to another plate and serve them hot with onions.
Note : Mirapakay bajji may be served as a snack. It tastes good when its hot. It may also be served with green chutney, ginger chutney or tomato chutney. The green chilies may also be stuffed with onion and other ingredients.
About : Mirapakaya bajji is a very famous Andhra snack. It is very popular during rains. It is very tasty however excessive consumption is not good for our body.
