Serving size of karivepaku kobbari rice

Ingredients for preparing karivepaku kobbari rice

Cooked rice                        –              3 cups

Curry leaves

Coconut                               –              half shell

Green chili                          –              5

Dry red chili                        –              3 or 4

Groundnuts                       –              2 tbsp

Mustard                               –              ½ tbsp

Pulses (Popuginjalu)       –              1 tbsp




Directions for making karivepaku kobbari rice:

  1. To make karivepaku kobbari rice, we need curry leaves, coconut, green chili, cooked rice.
  2. Wash the curry leaves properly, and cut the coconut into small pieces.
  3. Then put the curry leaves and coconut into a mixer jar and mix it.
  4. Take a bowl and add 3 cups of cooked rice into the bowl and add the mix of curry leaves and coconut along with some salt and mix everything evenly.
  5. Then slice the green chili into two halves each and cut the dry red chili into two to three pieces.
  6. Now, take one more utensil and pour oil into it, let the oil heat.
  7. After the oil heats, add mustard, green chili, dry red chili, ground nuts, pulses and curry leaves into the heated oil.
  8. Let the mixture fry for a minute or two.
  9. After mixture is ready, add this mixture to the rice.
  10. Mix the rice properly with the added oil mixture.

Note: You can also add some khaju along with ground nuts for taste.

  • 1. First you have to wash the coriander leaves thoroughly so that no sand is present and cut the leaves into pieces. 2. Then take green chilies and clean them too. 3. Now take a bowl, pour 3 tbsps of oil and let it heat 4. After the oil heats, add the green chili to the oil and fry them lightly. 5. After the oil is heated add the pulses (popuginjalu), garlic cloves, jeera, mustard, curry leaves, red chilies, turmeric powder and let them fry for a minute. 10. Add the coriander leaves mixture into the oil and mix them. 11.
