The very thought of the yummy and crispy cheese onion rings I had in a small deli on my visit to California make me drool . A typical crispy onion ring recipe as well as an Indian version of the recipe with aloo-cheese stuffing is depicted here. You can choose according to your taste This is a very tasty and it different recipe which fit perfectly for a home party or for children.
Homemade Crispy Cheese Onion Rings with normal ingredients
2 big White or brown onion.
Hundred grams of Mozzarella cheese
One cup of bread crumbs
2 Tablespoon of all purpose flour or maida
2 tablespoon of corn flour
Salt for taste
Oil for deep fry
Take a big onion and cut it into round thick slices. Separate round slices to form rings.
Now take to onion rings, one bigger in size and other smaller size
Cut the Mozzarella cheese in to thin slices
Now place the cheese in between the onion rings so that the space between the Rings are totally filled.
Freeze the onion ring 450 to 20 minutes in a freezer.
Mix the corn flour and maida and place it in a open vessel
Separate egg whine and whisk it properly and keep it in an open vessel.
Powder the bread crumbs and keep it an open vessel.
Next step is to cut the onion rings with flour and bread crumbs.
Dip the onion ring into the Maida-corn flour mix.
Now dip it in the whisked egg white
Dip it again in the bread crumbs.
The outer coating of the onion rings should be thick enough or else repeat this process once more.
The a flat frying pan and add enough oil and heat it.
Fry the onion rings in the oil till it is golden brown in color
Once it is fried drain out the oil and place it on a absorbent paper so that excess oil is absorbed.
Serve the fried crispy cheesy onion rings hot along with tomato ketchup or with your favorite green chutney
A different stuffing
Instead of cheese alone you can repair a paste of grated Mozzarella or cheddar cheese, potato potato, Kashmiri Chilli powder and Chaat Masala two stops in between the Rings(½ cup cheese, One boiled potato, ¾ teaspoon Kashmiri Chilli powder, ½ teaspoon chaat masala )
A pure vegetarian version
If you prepare a pure vegetarian version you can avoid egg white and do with the rest.
