High protein toast :To reduce weight and to build a lean muscular body it is highly important to have a low carb diet along with high protein one.Beans,Dairy, meat and fish are best sources of protein.Vegetarians should include dairy and beans for a high protein intake.Be careful while taking protein supplements as it can damage your Kidneys. So try to have more natural protein rich food included in your diet for a lean and muscular structure.
High protein food requires more calories to get a digested and leave your system slow. A study published in Nutrition Metabolism found that the people who increased the intake of protein by 30% ate nearly 450 calories less in a day than a normal group.Here is a recipe which is rich in protein. This is ideal for the people who are trying to build muscle or or kids during their growing stage or involved in any sports activities.
Half cup of split green gram or otherwise known as moong dal
Half inch piece of Ginger
Quarter cup of finely chopped onions
Half cup of Tofu or paneer according to your choice
Two tablespoons of coriander leaves finely chopped
Two green chillies finely chopped.
Half cup grated carrot
One tablespoon of sesame seeds
Homemade tomato ketchup 2 tbsp
Four bread slices
Salt as per your temperament
Oil half tablespoon
Half tablespoon of butter
Wash the green gram and soak it in clean water overnight
Now make a thick paste of Green Gram, coriander leaves, green chilli and Ginger
Now mix the paste with grated carrot, salt grated paneer/tofu and onion
Take one slice of bread, apply homemade tomato ketchup liberally onto it.
Spread a generous portion of the above prepared paste on to the bread slice.
No heat a flat Pan and and add alf teaspoon of butter into it
Now take the bread slice which has paste on it and put the bread mixer(paste) side down on the heated pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
This will help the paste to get cooked properly
Add some butter on top of the bread and flip it over
Cook until it is crispy and golden brown.
Take one plane bread slice and apply butter on to it and toast it Until it is golden brown
Keep it over the slice with cooked paste.
The high protein don't is ready to serve.
Serve it with mint chutney.
