Fried Meat Piralen

Serving Size of Fried Meat Piralen: 6-8

Ingredients for Fried Meat Piralen:

  1. Chicken – 1/2 kg
  2. Chopped Onion – 3 Nos (medium sized)
  3. Chopped Tomato – 1 Nos (Large sized)
  4. Ginger , Garlic paste – 2 Tablespoon
  5. Sliced Green Chilli – 2 Nos
  6. Garam masala – 1 Tablespoon
  7. Pepper powder – 1/2 Tablespoon
  8. Coriander powder – 1 Tablespoon
  9. turmeric powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
  10. Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 1/2 Tablespoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Coconut oil – 3-4 Tablespoon
  13. Water to cook


Directions for Fried Meat Piralen:

  1. Cut chicken into medium pieces and clean well.
  2. Fry Chilli powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala till it becomes dark brown on medium flame.
  3. Marinate the chicken pieces using 3/4 of fried powders,ginger garlic paste and pepper powder.
  4. Refrigerate the marinated chicken for about 30 minutes.
  5. In a pan, pour coconut oil and add mustard.
  6. When the mustard seeds pops up, add curry leaves.
  7. Put the chopped onion, green chillies and stir till onion turns light brown.
  8. Next add chopped tomatoes and little salt and fry till the tomatoes are nicely mashed and cooked.
  9. Put the remaining fried powder and mix well.
  10. Add the marinated chicken pieces, 1 cup water and mix well.
  11. Close the pan using a lid and cook it on low flame for 20 minutes ,stir occasionally.
  12. If need, add some more water and cook for another 10 minutes with out lid.
  13. Remove the pan from the flame and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  14. Serve hot with chappathi’s or rice roti(ari pathiri).
