Fish Roast or Meen Pollichattu

Serving size of the fish roast : 5

  1. Fish :  preferably mackerel cut in to two pieces  5
  2. Lemon Juice : 1/4 cup

Preparing Masala  for fish roast

Section A

  1.  Turmeric one teaspoon
  2.  Garlic  10 cloves
  3.  Pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Salt as per requirement

Section B

  1. Onion sliced : 2 cups
  2. Ginger finely chopped : 2 tablespoon
  3. Garlic finely chopped : 2 tablespoon
  4. Green chilli finely chopped : 2 tablespoons
  5. Turmeric powder : 1  Pinch
  6. Pepper powder: 1 Teaspoon
  7. Salt : As per requirement
  8. Vinegar:  3 tablespoon

Directions to prepare  fish roast

  1. Clean the fish properly.
  2. Marinate it with lemon juice and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Make a paste of ingredients in Section A and  rub it on the fish.
  4. Fry the fish in coconut oil slightly and keep aside.
  5. Saute Onion,Ginger Green Chili, Garlic in the Coconut oil.
  6. Mix it with turmeric powder, pepper powder and vinegar
  7. Add required salt.
  8. Cover the fish with the above masala and serve hot.
