Fish Pada – Indian Fish Pickle

Serving Size: 2-4

Ingredients:

  1. 2 kg of Mackrels Or suitable Fish like Mullet , Snapper , Barramundi ,
  2. Oil & Salt
  3. Chilli powder
  4. Tumeric powder
  5. Lime juice
  6. Garlic
  7. Ginger
  8. Peppercorns
  9. Cummin seeds
  10. Mustard seeds
  11. Vinegar
  12. Curry Leaves

 

Directions:

  1. First you will need to prepare the fish
  2. Smear fish with paste of chilli powder , tumeric powder , salt and lime juice,
  3. Let it marinate for an hour
  4. Deep fry the marinated fish to a golden brown in oil on a pan
  5. Now you will need to prepare the pickle dry gravy (masala)
  6. Grind Garlic , ginger , peppercons , jeera , mustard seeds , salt ,chilli powder and tumeric with vinegar to a paste and keep
  7. Pour oil in a pan , put some curry leaves and let it splutter , then add the paste masala made just above and fry it on a low flame , until it becomes a thick consistency.
  8. Next , add the fried fish stir it for a couple of minutes and its done
