Finger Biscuits Fried

Serving Size: 4

Ingredients:

  1. Refined flour (maida)-3 1/2 cups
  2. Powdered sugar-3/4 cup
  3. Soda bicarbonate-1/2 teaspoon
  4. Cinnamon powder-1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Melted butter-1/4 cup
  7. Buttermilk-1 cup
  8. Egg-1
  9. Oil-for deep-frying

 

Directions:

  1. Sieve together refined flour, powdered sugar, baking soda, cinnamon powder and salt into a bowl. Add butter, buttermilk and egg.

 

  1. Mix well and knead into a stiff dough, adding water if required. Roll the dough into half inch thickness and cut into two inch thin strips.

 

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry the strips till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
