This recipe is a healthy alternative for pizza lovers. My son is addicted to Pizzas and i was always worried when i ordered pizzas for him. The hygiene factor and nutritional content was what bothered me. I was at my wit’s end on how to cater to his puppy love for pizza and i found this home made recipe a loving and caring alternative to the popular branded pizzas.
Serving size of Mushroom Cheese grilled Sandwich : 2
Ingredients of Mushroom Cheese grilled Sandwich:
Butter : 1 Tbsp
Olive Oil : 1 Tbsp
Spring Onion : A Small bunch Sliced
Butter Mushroom : 200 Grams
Garlic :2 Cloves
Curry leaves or coriander leaves: 1 tsp
White wine : 1/4 cup
Salt: To taste
Pepper : To taste
Spring Onion Leaves : choopped
Pizza Cheese : 1 Cup (Mozrella) Parmesan Cheese : 1/4 Cup
Whole Wheat Bread : 4 Slices
Butter : 2 Tbsp
Directions for preparing Mushroom Cheese grilled Sandwich:
Add the onion in melted butter with some oil and saute until tender around 5-6 minutes.
Add coriander leaves,garlic and sauté for a minute until it fragrance.
Once done with the above add mushrooms and saute undil it turns golden brown approximately 10-12 minutes.
Add the whitewine, degalze the pan and in slow heat cook until most of the wine is evaporated.
For seasoning add pepper, salt and spring onion leaves and keep aside for cooling.
Add cheese in to the above preparation and mix properly.
Butter the outer side of the bread pieces and add the mushroom-cheese mix(prepared above) inside.
Grill the bread properly till the bread is golden brown and cheese is melted, may be for 2-3 minutes
Note: You can replace the mushroom with cooked meat or any type meat for Non vegetarians
