How to Make Samosa Sheets | Samosa Pastry Recipe | How to Make Samosa Pastry
  • 2 cups of Maida or all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of ghee (Clarified Butter) or oil
  • Salt as per your tolerance.
  • ½ to ¾ cup of water
Preparing the dough
  1. In a big flat vessel, mix the flour, salt and oil properly.
  2. Now add water little by little and knead the dough.
  3. Knead it until the dough is soft, consistent and smooth.
  4. Make a big smooth lump and cover it with a moist cloth
  5. Keep it aside untouched for 30 minutes.
  6. Your dough is ready
Preparing the sheets
  1. Divide the dough in to small equal portions. Make it in a round ball shape, just the size of a big lemon (just like roti or chapatti).
  2. Cover it with plastic wrap in order to retain moisture content and consistency.
  3. Keep aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Take a chapatti board and dust it using Maida flour
  5. Place the ball shaped dough on the board.
  6. Use a rolling pin, roll it over the dough and flatten until it has the size of approximately 8 inches.
  7. You can use this for making samosas instantly.
Prepare for storing
  1. For storage, you need to cook slightly and remove the moisture from the samosa sheets
  2. Heat a tava on a stove in keep it in medium flame
  3. Keep the sheet one by one on the tava and heat for less than a minute until the color changes slightly.
  4. Flip to the other side and do the same.
  5. Stack the sheets on top of each other
  6. Place the stack in a zip lock cover and keep it in freezer for future use
Samosa preparation
  1. Whenever you want to prepare, remove the samosa pastry stack from the freezer.
  2. Bring it to room temperature.
  3. Cut it in to semicircle make a cone and fill it with your favorite filling
  4. Seal the side and fry in oil
