Drumstick Green Theeyal

Serving size: 2-4

 

Ingredients:

 

  1. Drumstick – 2
  2. Shallots – 10
  3. Curry leaves – few
  4. Fenugreek -1/4 tbsp
  5. Coconut -1/2 shell grated
  6. Tamarind – 1 lemon size
  7. Coriander powder-1 tbsp
  8. Chilli powder -1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric powder- a pinch
  10. Mustard seed-1 tbsp
  11. Red chilli -2
  12. Salt to taste

 

Directions:

 

  1. Fry the coconut with 2 shallots and fenugreek seeds. When it turns browns add turmeric powder,chilli powder and coriander powder.Fry till the raw smell goes.
  2. Grind this mixture with tamarind pulp water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add shallots,curry leaves ,drumstick , and salt.
  4. Saute well.Add the ground mixture in to it.
  5. Cook well till the raw smell goes.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds and fry curry leaves and red chilli.
  7. Add the seasoning in to curry.
  8. Drumstick Theeyal is ready to served with rice.
