Dal Soup

Ingredients to prepare Dal Soup :

Masoor dal – 250 gms
Butter – 125 gms
Onion – 1
Flour – 50 gms
Carrot – 1
Stock – 1.4 liters
СеІery – 2 stalks
Salt – to taste
Milk – 450 ml

Directions to prepare Dal Soup

  1. Wash the Dal and soak it in water for 2 hours. Drain it.
  2. Cut celery, onion and carrot into slices and simmer in a sauce pan with butter for 15 minutes.
  3. Keep aside. Add the stock to the Dal and simmer for about 1 hours.
  4. Sieve, add milk and salt and bring to the boil. 
  5. Mix the flour with a little milk and add to the soup. 
  6. Then simmer adding the onion, carrot and celery. Serve hot.
