Crispy Paneer Fingers

Paneer fingers or cheese fingers is one of the best and yummy vegetarian starter you can serve for your kid or can be served for a home kitty party or even on a rainy evening with chai / Tea. Kids and adults will really love this.

How to prepare Crispy Paneer Fingers

Crispy Paneer Fingers or Cheese Fingers

Hot crispy and yummy paneer fingers
Ingredients
  • One block of Paneer / Cottage cheese approximately 100 grams
  • One cup of Curd
  • Half teaspoon of chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon if Garam Masala powder
  • Enough salt as per your tolerance
  • Half teaspoon of cumin powder
  • Half teaspoon of dried fenugreek leaves
  • One teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Half teaspoon of Ginger paste
  • Half teaspoon of Garlic paste.
For paste
  • Chll powder - ½ tsp
  • Half teaspoon of chilli powder
  • Half cup of All purpose flour or Maida
  • Two table spoon of corn flour
  • Salt as per your tolerance
For Coating
  • Oil for fry
  • Half cup of Cornflakes
  • Half cup of Oats
Instructions
Preparation of paste for Marination
  1. Add curd in an open bowl.Add ginger paste, Garlic paste, dried fenugreek leaves (Kasoori Methi), garam masala powder, cumin powder, chilli powder and beat or mix it well.
Preparation of Paneer for frying.
  1. Cut the paneer in to finger shaped long strips.
  2. Drop the paneer strips in to the paste and allow it to marinate for approximately one hour.
Preparation of paste for coating
  1. Meanwhile in another bowl, mix well corn flour, maida, chilli powder, lemon juice and salt.
  2. Add enough water to make it in to a thick paste.
Final coating and frying
  1. Mix the oats and corn flakes in an open bowl and keep it aside.
  2. Dip the marinated paneer in to the above prepared thick Maida paste.
  3. Roll it properly in dry corn flakes and oats so that there is a thick coating.
  4. Now deep fry it till golden brown on all the sides.
  5. Crunchy and crispy paneer fingers are ready,
  6. Serve it with green chutney or sauce as per your choice
