Raw tamarind – 6
Green chillis – 4
Jeera – 1 tbsp
Mustard – 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tbsp
Garlic cloves – 5
Pulses (Popuginjalu) – 1 tbsp
Dry red chilies – 2
Curry leaves – 2 leaf lets
Salt – required to taste
Oil – 4 tbsps
Directions to make chinthakay roti pachadi :
Wash the raw tamarind and wipe them with dry cloth. Then clean the green chilies also.
After that grind the raw tamarind and green chilies, jeera together in a stone mortar, add salt and transfer it into a bowl.
-Take another bowl and add oil into it, let the oil heat.
After the oil is heated add the pulses (popuginjalu), garlic cloves, jeera, mustard, curry leaves, red chilies, turmeric powder and let them fry for a minute.
Then add the raw tamarind and green chilies paste into the oil and mix them thoroughly.
Your tasty and yummy chinthakaya roti pachadi is ready to taste.
Note: Chinthakaya roti pachadi is one of the famous recipes of Andhra region and is also one of the most favorites. It is most commonly consumed with hot rice for lunch and dinner.
