To prepare mouth watering chepala pulusu, first clean the fish proerply and cut it into pices.
Once again clean the pieces with salt and water and remove the scales.
Then take the pieces into a wide bowl and add red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and salt to the pieces and mix them properly.
Then marinate the pieces for some time.
Then soak the tamarind in water and peel the onions.
Now wash the onions, green chilies, tomatoes and slice them into pieces.
Take a mixer jar and add the onions and toatoes pieces into the jar and mix it into paste and keep it aside.
Now take a wide bowl and add oil into it. Let the oil heat.
Once the oil is hot enough add the mustard and jeera and fry for half a minute. Then add the curry leaves and stir for another half a minute.
Add the green chilies and fry for a minute. Follow it with the onion and tomato paste and cook it for two to three minutes.
Then add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt and fry for two minutes.
Now extract the tamarind juice from the tamarind and add it to the bowl and pour little water if necessary and boil it.
Once the liquid starts boiling place the fish pieces in the bowl carefully and cook for fifteen minutes by covering the lid.
Add the corinder leaves at the end.
Your mouth watering chepala pulusu is ready to be served.
Note : Chepala Pulusu tastes very good with rice. It tastes good once the pieces absorb the essence of the ingredients. Hence it is adivsed to eat it after few hours of cooking.
